WHAT WE SAY
While one side argues that Generation-Y is “lazy, entitled, selfish and shallow” (Stein and Sanburn 1), (read about this side of the argument on the 'Problem' page), an entire set of millennials are out to prove otherwise. Although often perceived as the exception to the preconceived rules, stereotypes and claims set forth by generations who came before them, these millennials want to show that they are re-writing the rules of their generation through their unparalleled capacity for empathy, awareness of others, compassion, and their extraordinary acts of kindness. Given these statistics, it would seem that millennials won’t stop at just taking ambitious, conscious and compassionate steps (some even going so far as to take leaps and bounds) to leave the world a better place; they’re going so far as to ensure that each step they take forward is thoughtful and empathetic so that they create meaningful, lasting change.
